Welcome to our new website, where we hope to bring the community more than just great tasting coffee.

A great, friendly service is at the heart of our ethos, but we aim to do more than just this by supporting the community and reducing our carbon footprint through the utilisation of local services.

We source everything from as close to home as possible. The main attraction, our luxurious, aromatic and unique tasting coffee beans are roasted and produced by The Lost Sheep in Whitstable, milk is from local sources and our famous savouries, cakes, brownies, and sweet treats are hand made by independent bakers here in Repton Park. And, of course, there are local work opportunities for our ever-growing team of friendly Baristas!

WELCOME

We love getting involved with our local community and are delighted to already be involved with the Repton Park scouts, host baby support groups and provide a bright and sunny or warm and cosy venue, for professionals’ business meetings. We also hold events which encourage community involvement and raising money for various charities.

We are passionate about the environment and encourage the recycling and reuse of our coffee cups. The end product from our coffee goes back to a local gardening club (and anyone else who requests) to be used as a nutrient rich fertilizer. We personally listen to all your feedback and answer all communications with our customers and will continue to do so. We strive to bring back old-fashioned community values from a service whilst complimenting it with a modern feel at Our Coffee Corner.

All for the love of coffee!

Our Coffee Corner concept was born when we, Lynsey and Courtney (best friends for 15 years), had a dream of providing our local community with a welcoming, friendly venue where friends and family could meet. The vision was to create a child friendly environment where mums could relax and socialise with others, whilst also providing for those who fancy a coffee and a bite to eat to either sit in, or takeaway.

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and the ensuing national lockdowns impacted everyone, particularly small businesses. We opened with the ‘takeaway only’ restrictions of lockdown in place which gave us the opportunity to start at a slower pace but before long we were up and flying. We began to recognise regular customers coming through the door and the concept was born. The community spirit continues to grow and develop. We strive to welcome all our customers both now and in the future with a friendly smile and an amazing Our Coffee Corner Experience.

Meet C&L

Here at Our Coffee Corner we know how important the quality of food and drinks is to our customers. We also know how much environmental issues around food production, food delivery and food waste matters, not only to our customers but, to our world. So we chose to have The Lost Sheep Coffee Company as our supplier when our investigations made us aware of their commitment to all of those issues.

The founder of the Lost Sheep suggests that the quality of the coffee beans are considered to be in the top 5% in the world, and can be traced back to the fields and family farms where they were grown and where farmers are paid fairly. The beans are hand roasted in small amounts locally in Whitstable and it is packaged, unlike most coffee, in fully recyclable bags and boxes. The growing number of regular, returning customers, who love our delicious, unforgettable coffee speaks for itself but if you do not believe us we invite you to come along to Our Coffee Corner and taste for yourself!
